Once early pictures of this T5.1 Conversion were released on social media (even before it was 100% finished) we were contacted about it being featured in a magazine. A couple Of weeks later we were at a moody / industrial location having it photographed and a long write up taken about it.
A huge amount of effort has gone into this vehicle and I wanted to take the time to write a little about how this build came about...
We were first contacted about just simply having the van carpeted in the back to tidy it up ready for sale.
Things escalated into having a window added and a few lights.
Things escalated further...
After evenings of messaging back and forwards with more and more ideas a general idea for what you see in the pictures was sketched out; of course these things evolve during the build as us and the customer get carried away with making it one of the coolest and unique Kombi builds in the UK.
What went into the build?
Firstly a leisure battery and split charge relay was installed to power the TV, PlayStation, Coffee Machine and to charge the E-Bikes.
New Halo 9 Head Unit was fitted along with 8” Alpine speakers in the doors.
Further back we installed side window with slide opening, full interior carpeting and a custom headliner with LED lights and accent lights and Flip Down TV.
Bespoke sub boxes to house the 2x 12” Vibe 1200w subs and twin amplifiers to power them. We also installed a large inverter to power a Tassimo coffee machine for after the long bike rides and 240v sockets to charge the E-Bikes to and from the trails.
A fully carpeted drawer was made with carbon drawer lid which we then mounted 3 bike mounts to the drawer top. The drawer was made deep enough to house safety foam and shotguns in for the customer’s other hobby.
Locking of the drawer was done with fingerprint recognition and it also has electrically powered rams to lift the drawer with ease.
